Saginaw Electrical JATC

On September 29, 1942 Local 557 established the apprentice program under the Department of Labor with an instructor that traveled between locals.  A Joint Apprentice Agreement was formed in September 1968 between Local 557 and Local 692 of Bay City with a full time instructor.
Saginaw and Bay City split into separate apprentice programs in January of 1982.  From 1971 until February 2005 the program was located at 1400 W. Genesee when it moved to it's present location at 7303 Gratiot Road, Saginaw.
The Saginaw Electrical JATC provides a full time program of five (5) years for inside wireman and follows the National JATC Curriculum.
